Employees Honored at Pinning and Awards Ceremony

Brett Parker was named Canyon Lake Fire/EMS (ESD No. 3) firefighter of the year today at the department’s Pinning and Awards Ceremony 2020 at Canyon Lake High School.

“It was definitely shocking to me,” he said.

Parker is a field training officer who works with new hires. So far this year he’s trained 11 new staff members and will assume responsibility for another nine employees in April.

Also recognized today were Jason Rush, named officer of the year, and Skyler Overton, paramedic of the year.
