Welcome to MyCanyonLake.com. We are an online news site covering news, events and the great outdoors

If you are in the flooded areas and see an animal in need, please know that we are here to help.

"If you are in the flooded areas and see an animal in need, please know that we are here to help."We at WRR are deeply concerned about the flooding that was, and is still, occurring in the Texas Hill Country. Countless lives, both human and non-human, were lost or changed because of this disaster. Here at WRR, the staff and animals are safe as the flooding has not hit our sanctuary; we await word about more rain tonight.

If you are in the flooded areas and see an animal in need, please know that we are here to help. Because almost all of the surrounding areas are experiencing extreme flooding, we are keeping a close watch on the rain predictions over the next few days. We are still here to help, and accepting animals in need, seven days a week.

If you have questions about an animal who may be in need of help, you can call our WRR Hotline at 830-336-2725. We will give you guidance on what to do to help the animal, can dispatch a WRR rescue volunteer to bring the animal into our care, or can suggest how to help the animal in their natural environment.

If you have an injured wild animal in your care, please bring them to our Sanctuary located at 335 Old Blanco Road, Kendalia, TX 78027between the hours of 6:30am and 11pm. As you will most likely have to cross the Guadalupe River and several low water crossings to get to our Kendalia location, we want you to know that you are also able to bring animals to our San Antonio location located at 11902 Rustic Lane, San Antonio, TX 78230 between the hours of 8am and 8pm.
