Third Annual CRRC & WoodmenLife Family Fest

Enjoy Canyon Lake’s premier family fun-filled event with great entertainment, plenty of hands-on experiences and “no worries” for kids headed back to school.

Last year, CRRC’s annual Family Fest provided over 200 area children with the things they need to start the new school year. This year, it features a safety city, education, fun and entertainment for kids and their parents, music and games, school supplies, free vision/hearing tests, hair cuts and much more.

The event is free. All monies made or donated go back into CRRC’s fund to purchase school supplies for the next year.

To-date, some $300 has been raised by 2019 Family Fest, and over $850 already has been spent on school supplies. A $1,100 donation allowed CRRC to purchase backpacks for the 2019-20 school year.

“We recognize that local support and caring partners are central to the success of this event,” organizers with CRRC and WoodmenLife said in an email. “CRRC & WoodmenLife Family Fest is currently seeking local organizations that are interested in supporting the 2019 by sponsoring. We would like you to become a CRRC & WoodmenLife Family Fest event sponsor.”

Last year’s event did not raise enough money, so CRRC staff donated $500 out of their own pockets to cover the event.
