Fish for Free This Saturday

Saturday, June 2 is Free Fishing Day, courtesy of Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD).
Anglers can fish in Canyon Lake or the Guadalupe River without a Texas fishing license.
The annual event kicks off National Fishing and Boating Week, and is designed to provide fun, high-quality fishing opportunities to anglers of all skill levels and ages.
Although TPWD is sponsoring activities statewide, none are planned for Canyon Lake. A tackle loaner program for beginners is available at Guadalupe River State Park, 3350 Park Rd. 31, Spring Branch.
