Rainbow Trout Fishing
Some 20,921 rainbow trout will be stocked at Canyon Tailrace starting on Dec. 4. Guadalupe River Trout Unlimited (GRTU) members Ken and Lauren Sly of Houston caught double-up rainbow and brown trout on the Guadalupe last year.

Guadalupe River Trout Fishing
This map shows the trout fishing area of the Guadalupe River between the Canyon Lake dam and the City of New Braunfels. Trout will be stocked at Guadalupe Park, Whitewater Camp, 4th Crossing, 3rd Crossing, and Camp Huaco Springs.

For anglers interested in tailrace fishing, TPWD will be stocking rainbow trout below several dams and spillways, which often have very cool water and provide excellent conditions for trout fishing. This year, TPWD will stock rainbow trout into the Canyon Tailrace on the Guadalupe River below Canyon Lake.
