The U.S. National Weather Service Austin-San Antonio has issued a flash-flood warning until 8 p.m. Friday.

However, Comal County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) said another flash-food warning will go into effect between midnight and 4 a.m. specifically along the Guadalupe River above Canyon Lake.

“If you come upon a flowing stream where water is above your ankles, stop, turn around, and go another way,” Sheriff Mark Reynolds said on Facebook. “Six inches of swiftly moving water can sweep you off your feet.

“Turn around, don’t drown.”
