The Texas Water Company (TWC) Tuesday warned customers against outside water use as Blanco and Comal counties move today from Drought Stage 3 into Drought Stage 4.

New Braunfels Utilities customers are still under Stage 2 restrictions, which allow outdoor watering one day a week with a sprinkler or irrigation system.

TWC customers can still use water to sustain livestock and/or vegetable gardens and fruit orchards primarily intended for household use.

The Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority will move wholesale customers into Stage 4 condition sometime during the first week in February, reducing their water allotment by 15%.
