Forty-Five New Cases of COVID-19, Two Deaths Reported Wednesday in Comal county

Comal County reported 45 new cases of COVID-19 and two deaths today.
In a statement, the county said a woman in her 70s from New Braunfels died in a New Braunfels hospital on Aug. 26. A man in his 60s who also lived in New Braunfels died on Aug. 20 in a San Antonio hospital.
Of the 45 new cases confirmed by the county today, 41 are confirmed and four are probable. The seven-day positivity rate for Wednesday is 12.09%
There are 323 active confirmed-and-probable cases of COVID-19 in Comal County. Forty residents are hospitalized. Comal County hospitals are caring for five COVID-19 patients. One is in intensive care and the other patient is on a ventilator.
Six of the new cases reported are in people under the age of 20, nine are in their 20s, 11 are in their 30s and 40s, 13 are in their 50s and 60s and six are ages 70 and above.
