Smoked turkey, ham and "all the fixins" will be served at this year's Free Thanksgiving Dinner at Startzville Elementary on Thursday. It's sponsored by PTA volunteers, who ladled out lots of gravy at last year's event.
Canyon Lake’s largest, free community Thanksgiving Dinner is scheduled from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Startzville Elementary, 42111 FM 3159.
Last year, over 800 residents enjoyed the annual fall tradition, which is open to anyone in the community.
Startzville Elementary’s choir performs. A Health Resource Fair also is scheduled during the event, along with a book fair.
This year, the menu features turkey smoked by Granzin Bar-B-Q, ham, stuffing, “all the fixin’s” and dessert.
The event is sponsored by Startzville Elementary’s PTA.
