The grand opening of Canyon Lake’s first public playground is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at the CRRC’s Mabel Jones Rec Center, 125 Mabel Jones Dr.
The structure was built with financial contributions from the community, including the Pilot Club of Canyon Lake, which today donated $550 to be used toward the purchase of an ADA-compliant swing.
The play area, which is located by the pavilion and basketball courts, already is open to the public.
