Canyon Lake’s Lady Hawks Basketball Team took care of their fourth opponent on Tuesday night, opening their season by keeping all four teams below the 40-point threshold in win, 37-41.
The Hawks basketball is in rarefied air with this win, and counting the end of last year has now crafted a 41-1 record in their last 15 contest.
“We came out with more intensity in this game,” Head Coach Zach Burleson said. “Austin Regan was pretty athletic at their guard position.”
Canyon Lake controlled the game with a good start, and by leading by 11 points going into intermission.
“There were some good things in this game,” Burleon said. “But we have to keep our turnovers down. That is our biggest issue on the offensive end.”
