Hawks Lose to Austin’s McCallum Knights

Canyon Lake High School Hawks finished their Hawk Tournament on Saturday with a 4th place finish after a loss to, 11-3-1 Austin’s McCallum High School Knights, 6-3.
“We found out a lot about ourselves this weekend,” Head Coach Victor Escamilla said. “We played good competition and we know where we need to improve mentally ad on the field. Our guys are all in and that’s all I can ask for!”
The big picture has Canyon Lake still possessing their best record at this stage of the season with a few more non-district battles before the next important district contests come calling.
Canyon Lake will be in action twice during the Spring Break time slot as the Hawks travel to Jourdanton on Wednesday and then Luling will end the week with a home game that will start at the Hawk Diamond on Thursday with the first pitch coming at 7pm.
