The nonprofit Hill Country Alliance (HCA) will introduce a new guide created to help homeowners’ associations (HOAs) develop landscaping polices that preserve water resources, night skies, and native landscapes during a free webinar from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, March 31.
Model Language for HOAs in the Texas Hill Country “can be a valuable tool for achieving significant and beneficial change,” HCA said in a statement.
“This new guide includes model language to help new developments and existing HOAs put in place landscaping policies that preserve the water resources, night skies and native landscapes of the Texas Hill Country.”
Most land in the Texas Hill Country lies in unincorporated areas where counties have limited authority to manage growth or implement ‘water-wise’ practices.
