The Humane Society of the New Braunfels Area (HSNBA) will waive adoption fees for cats and dogs at its Love for the Holidays Adoption and Foster Weekend from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21 and Sunday, Dec. 21 at the shelter, 3353 Morningside Dr., New Braunfels.
Volunteers will be on hand to guide those interested through the adoption process and help make perfect matches between humans, cats and dogs.
Foster pets who aren’t usually at the shelter will be available for adoption as well.
“This is our final big event of the year, and we’re pulling out all the stops to help as many pets as possible find their loving families before the holidays,” HSNBA Executive Director Sarah Hammond said.
All adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for fleas and common parasites and microchipped.
Anyone interested in adopting a pet can visit www.HSNBA.org/adopt to complete an application ahead of time and speed up the adoption process.
The adoptions are made possible with the support of Petco Love, an animal charity.
Monday, the shelter said it received 30 dogs and puppies over the weekend and was officially out of space.
