JP Jennifer Saunders Recognized for 40 Years of Service

Sattler-based Justice of the Peace #4 Judge Jennifer Saunders was recognized for 40 years of service at Comal County Commissioners Court Thursday, July 26.

“I think that might be one of our records,” said Donna Eccleston, Comal County Commissioner Pct. #1 (Canyon Lake).

Saunders thanked the commissioners for their support.

“Comal County has grown tremendously and I don’t know what to say other than I’ve enjoyed every year of it,” she said after receiving a huge bouquet of flowers. “…It’s a learning curve. It is every day.”

Shane Rapp, Comal County Constable, Pct. 4, posted on his Facebook page that he refers to Saunders as his second mom.

“Her dedication to her office has been a guiding force in my development as a constable,” he said. “Thank you Judge Saunders for setting the bar of high standards for my office. I love you to the moon and back!”

Comal County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Rick Cardenas also was recognized for 30 years of service.
