Texas PTA on July 2 named Andrew Kim of Comal ISD the 2018 Texas PTA Superintendent of the Year.

Although few details were available, one nomination released publicly stated: “He listens. He teaches. He empowers. I’ve never met a more passionate superintendent who stays in touch with the parents as much as Mr. Kim.”

Kim was nominated in March, after Texas PTA announced it was wanted to recognize educators who go the “extra mile” to make every child’s potential a reality.

Comal ISD Council of PTAs’ Michelle DeVoe Ross applauded Texas PTA’s choice.

“Couldn’t have chosen any better! He is so supportive of our parents and PTAs. Well deserved and so proud to have served as council president with him,” she posted on Facebook.
