Canyon Lake’s Tye Preston Memorial Library kicks off the new year with presentations by speakers who can help you kick-start a few New Year’s resolutions.

Starting a Small Business runs from 3-4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, and is moderated by Rob Lewis, Ph.D., chief development officer with Austin-based Curated for You, featured in Techstars, Business Insider, Cosmopolitan, Forbes, and on CNBC.

The company’s mission is to “contextualize the world’s products for everyone, everywhere.”

Craig Bruska, education chair for the Lindheimer Chapter of the Native Plant Society, talks about Gardening & Seed Saving from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17.

Get your spending under control at Saving for Your Financial Goals, presented by Prosperity Bank’s Katherine Griffin, from 3-4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24.

Meet people who work with area charities and organizations at the Volunteer Opportunity Fair, 3-4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31.

Attendees are invited to create vision boards at creation stations.
