Library Kicks Off Summer with Reading Program, Virtual Events

Canyon Lake’s Tye Preston Memorial Library (TPML) invites readers of all ages to a June 5 kick-off party for its Summer Reading Program.
The public is invited to drive thru from 9-11 a.m. Saturday to enjoy Kona Ice, balloon animals, a scavenger hunt and free summer reading bags (while supplies last).
The Summer Reading Program runs from June 5 to July 31 and includes virtual programs, take-and-makes, prize drawings for all ages and a special newsletter.
Readers who complete activity cards are qualified to enter into any of the library’s grand-prize basket drawings. Categories include gaming, outdoor family fun, reader, and restaurants. Multiple entries are encouraged. Winners will be announced Aug. 2.
TPML is located at 16311 South Access Rd., Canyon Lake.
