Presbyterians Install Little Free Library

Share
Canyon Lake Presbyterian Church's new outreach includes a Little Free Library in Chapman's Park.

by Laura Schafer
Administrator, Canyon Lake Presbyterian Church

On Dec. 22, Canyon Lake Presbyterian Church celebrated its installation of a Little Free Library (LFL) in the Chapman’s Park community near the intersection of Island View Drive and FM 2673, near the Village West neighborhood.

You may have noticed other Little Free Libraries popping up in Canyon Lake, as well.

Startzville Elementary School Librarian, Kim Nance, is the inspiration behind the Canyon Lake LFL movement.

Her goal is to plant 14 Little Free Libraries in the SES attendance zone on the south side of Canyon Lake.

With her encouragement and help, other community organizations have begun building and sponsoring LFLs in other areas around the lake.

Canyon Lake Presbyterian Church is so excited for this opportunity to connect with our neighbors and make new friends.
