Members of the League of Women Voters-Comal Area (LWV-CA) met with Texas Rep. Kyle Biederman, District 73, to learn about his legislative priorities for the 86th regular legislative session, which begins in Austin on Jan. 8.
“The League of Women Voters of the Comal Area are grateful to Mr. Biedermann and his staff for taking the time to share his priorities with us,” said President Roxanna Deane. “We look forward to having more discussions with he and his staff when the session begins.”
LWV-CA will focus on a number of issues, including school finance reform and environmental issues, Deane said.
“I was grateful to meet with the Comal League of Women Voters to discuss their priorities for the upcoming legislative session, which coincide with mine, including: School finance reform … and environmental issues,” Biedermann said of the Dec.12 meeting.
“I appreciated the open conversation, and their willingness to help me be successful this session. We agreed to work together on helping to find solutions to these important issues.”
