New Braunfels Man Dies, Two New Cases of COVID-19 Confirmed in Canyon Lake

A New Braunfels man in his 90s who tested positive for COVID-19 on May 12 died on May 17, and another two Canyon Lake residents have tested positive for the disease, Comal County said in a statement on Thursday, May 28.
This brings to 90 the number of positive cases in Comal County, which now has seven deaths, 67 recoveries and 16 active cases of COVID-19, four of them hospitalized.
The other two positive cases are a north side Canyon Lake resident in their 60s who is home-isolating and a south side resident in their 80s who is hospitalized in New Braunfels.

These numbers include 1,465 nursing home tests taken last week, of which 1,433 were negative and one was positive, with the rest pending.
