New Braunfels Man in His 30s Dies of COVID-19

Residents wishing to be tested for COVID-19 can call the county’s dedicated hotline, 830-221-1120, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

A man in his 30s who lived in New Braunfels died at home of COVID-19, Comal County confirmed today.

No further information is available. The total number of deceased is now 116.

The county also reported seven confirmed and three probable new cases of the virus. Friday’s seven-day positivity rate is 5.02%.

There are now 321 active confirmed-and-probably cases of COVID-19 in the county. Of them, 18 are hospitalized. Comal County hospitals are caring for 10 COVID-19 pateints. Of those, two are in intensive care and two are on ventilators.

One additional COVID-19 recovery also was reported today, bringing the tally to 2,843 since reporting began in March.

Comal County has reported 2,600 confirmed cases and 680 probable cases of COVID-19 since March.
