New Braunfels Woman in Her 30s Died of COVID-19, County Reports

Comal County issued its first COVID-19 update since Thanksgiving today, reporting the Sept. 13 death of a New Braunfels woman in her 30s who passed away at San Antonio hospital.
The county also reported 25 new cases and 15 COVID-19 hospitalizations. These numbers are from Wednesday night. Tomorrow’s Comal County update will include Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
One patient is in intensive care and another is on a ventilator. None of those hospitalized are vaccinated. Not all COVID-positive patients hospitalized in Comal County are necessarily county residents.
Some 20,177 cases of the virus have been reported in Comal County since reporting began in March 2020. The total number of deceased is 465.
Some 60.09% of county residents are fully vaccinated, meaning they have had two shots.
