NWS Issues Flood Advisory for Comal County, Expires at 8:45 p.m.

The National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio has issued a flood advisory for central Comal County.
The advisory expires at 8:45 p.m.
At 5:38 p.m., Doppler radar showed heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory rain.
Up to two inches of rain already has fallen.
Locations included in the warning are New Braunfels, Schertz, Canyon Lake, Bulverde, Garden Ridge, Smithson Valley, Spring Branch, Guadalupe River State Park, Startzville, Solms, Gruene, Anhalt, Honey Creek State Natural Area and Freiheit.
Additional rainfall amounts of up to one inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low-water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain, NWs said in a statement. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads.
