Ken Armke, New Braunfels living legend, owner of Opa’s German Store and purveyor (since 1970) of the official Wurstfest steins, says the Opas (German for grandfather) who run Wurstfest just received their complimentary and official Wurstfest steins.
2016 official Wurstfest beer steins are now available at both Opa’s and at Wurstfest.
“Each autumn, we participate in the Wurstfest festival, providing the official festival stein, and celebrating German heritage with authentic foods and plenty of traditional beers,” Armke says. P
Opa’s is located at 651 N. Business IH 35, #820, in New Braunfels. It explores the German heritage and craftsmanship that have contributed to the architecture and appeal of New Braunfels and Canyon Lake. German immigrants settled in New Braunfels in the 1800s. Armke’s store features souvenirs and collectibles including authentic Black Forest cuckoo clocks, Hummel figurines, and antique beer steins.
