Home of the Wurstfest Mug!
Find the best-of-New Braunfels at Opa’s German Store.
From the street, a visitor might think the distinctive blue-and-white OI building on North Business 35 is a used car lot – which it is!
But it’s much more than a car lot.
The building also houses Armke’s Made-in-Germany Store and OHI Trading Company.
Made-in-Germany Store
With a strong emphasis on antique beer steins, Black Forest cuckoo clocks and older M.I. Hummel figurines, Armke’s has earned a nationwide expertise on these items.
The company has produced the official dated Wurstfest mug since 1971, and has many years experience in importing steins directly from Germany.
Beer stein website
The company’s extensive stein website can be accessed at armkes.com. The store itself features hundreds of steins and M.I. Hummel figurines, plus other collectibles and “interesting objects.”
The store is a mecca for stein collectors. The staff has more than 40 years of experience in the importing, sales and production of quality collector items.
Large offering of Hummels
A large display of desirable older M.I. Hummel figurines, for example, is offered at prices lower than most collectors would think possible.
Cuckoo clocks
Authentic, hand-carved wooden cuckoo clocks are imported directly from the makers in Germany’s Black Forest. A variety of traditional weight-driven and 400-day quartz models are stocked.

I have an old German stein that the handle broke off of, still in one piece. Do you do repairs and if not can you recommend someone? If not can you suggest what to glue/replace the handle with? Thank you very much for your help!
