The Water Oriented Recreation District of Comal County (WORD) conducts its first guided nature walk on the Madrone Trail in Canyon Park on the north side of Canyon Lake.
See native flora and fauna and enjoy a discussion of the area’s natural history. Hike is moderate to light with some uphill areas and will last around an hour.
Meet at Pavilion 1 on the causeway and bring water binoculars and hiking boots.

WORD operates Canyon Park on behalf of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The park is located at 1769 Canyon Park Rd., Canyon Lake.

Indulge in a wide variety of pickled treats, from classic dill pickles to unique pickle-flavored snacks like; pickle pizza, pickle chamoy, pickle snow cones, pickle beer, pickle roasted elote, pickle salsa, pickle cotton candy, freeze dried pickle items, pickle popcorn, and pickled ice cream just to name a few.
Sample delicious pickles from around 25 canning vendors and shop over 100 vendors for pickle-themed merchandise.

Kids Pickle Juice Drinking Contest by Bob’s Pickle Pop’s (all ages welcome) — 2 p.m.

Pickle Toss – 4 p.m.
Trophies, cash gift cards, and other prizes will be awarded to the top contestants. Only 12 entries will be accepted for pickle-eating and adult drinking contests,
