Pct. 4 Comal County Commissioner Jen Crownover was elected president of the County Judges and Commissioners Association of Texas (CJCAT) at the organization’s annual conference in Abilene last week.
CJCAT promotes the interests of county government through continuing education and active participation in governmental affairs — particularly the Texas Legislature.
Jim Allison, CJAT’s senior general counsel, said Texas residents and CJCAT members will be “well served” by Crownover’s leadership.
“We look forward to a successful year for the organization,” he said.
Crownover is charged with staying on top of legislative proposals and interim studies that impact county government and the services provided to taxpayers. She served as president of the South Texas County Judges and Commissioners Association, a subregion of CJCAT, from 2020-21.
Elected in 2014, Crownover is in her third term as a Comal County commissioner.
