PEC Asks Customers to Conserve Energy During Peak Heat Advisory

Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) is asking customers to conserve energy and avoid using dishwashers and other major appliances between 2 and 7 p.m.
A peak heat advisory is in effect for Central Texas and much of the state.
The utility, which provides electric service to Canyon Lake, also suggests raising the thermostat a few degrees; closing shades; installing a timer on water heater during off-hours; and limiting the use of washers and dryers to the morning or after 7 p.m.
