A single-engine plane carrying two adults and an infant strapped into a car seat crashed just outside a wooded area in the 200 block of Primrose Path in Canyon Lake around 1 p.m. today.
Canyon Lake Fire/EMS Fire Chief Darren Brinkkoeter said they were extricated from the plane and treated by EMS personnel.
The adults were airlifted by Travis County STAR Flight to Ascension Seton Hays in Kyle. The child was released to a parent who arrived later at the scene of the accident.
The plane was not on fire. Fire crews worked to secure any leaks and electrical hazards.
No additional information about the adults can be released at this time, Brinkkoeter said.

Canyon Lake Fire/EMS watches as a helicopter prepares to lifeflight two adults who were passengers aboard a plane that crashed in Canyon Lake.
I witnessed this airplane lose engine power in the air. I was outside an air bnb smoking a cigarette, I heard the plane, the engine was loud, I looked up at and then heard the engine backfire then it lost engine power. The plane was headed at an eastward direction then when it lost engine power the plane then turned to its starboard side, (south),
and glided away from my view. I prayed for the passengers at that time.
