Playground for Pets
Need a place for your dog to run?
Visit New Braunfels Puppy Playland and Dog Park, 1240 Landa St., New Braunfels, Texas 78130. Park is open from dawn to dusk, daily.
Follow their Facebook page for daily update about park conditions — and donate to the non-profit to keep the dogs happy and (hopefully!) exhausted after a long visit.
If you’re a local resident or a visitor who wants to make your dog’s vacation meaningful, too, here’s more information about how to improve this already fabulous area resource from their website:
- New Braunfels Puppy Playland Organization is a non-profit organization dedicated to the creation and improvement of a fenced-in leash-free dog park in New Braunfels.
- Phase One of the dog park opened Sept. 13, 2014. This phase included a traditional fenced in dog park with areas for small and large dogs, as well as a training area.
- Future phases will include bathrooms for humans, outdoor lighting, agility equipment, fencing in the whole acreage and more.
- Their goal cannot be reached without volunteers, the NB Parks and Recreation Department, and generous donors.
“With this unstoppable group, we are positive we can build a spot that suits both dog owners and non-dog owners alike,” the website says.
