Presbyterian Church Hosts Turkeys to Tables Fundraiser

Turkeys to Tables fundraiser for Community Resource and Recreation Center of Canyon Lake (CRRC) kicks off at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Canyon Lake Presbyterian, 230 Shepherd Hill, with live music by Larry Read, Frito pies and chili, and pumpkin decorating for kids.
It’s all free, but the delicious homemade desserts baked by ladies of the church are not — funds raised at the bake sale, along with all generous cash, check and credit-card donations, will help area families-in-need enjoy turkey with all the trimmings this holiday season.
“It’s a great venue, we’re having a nice little evening of music that will help our neighbors,” said Mary Phillips, head of evangelism for the church.
The ambiance includes socializing on the church’s beautiful, oak-covered flagstone patio and 60s, 70s, 80s and country music performed by Read, who lives in Canyon Lake.
Musical instruments for kids to play also will be provided at no extra charge.
