Property Tax Statements Are in the Mail, Comal County Tax Office Says

Comal County property tax statements are in the mail.

Comal County Tax Assessor-Collector Cathy Talcott says 2020 property tax statements are in the mail.

Payments are due upon receipt and will be considered delinquent if not paid or postmarked by Jan. 31, 2021, she said in a press release issued today.

Residents can make partial payments but the balance must be paid in full by Jan. 31, 2021 to avoid penalty and interest.

“I encourage everyone to consider paying by mail or online to avoid long lines,” she said. “We continue to practice social distancing in our lobbies, and request that all customers who pay in person wear a face covering,”

Taxpayers can pay online via credit card, debit card or echeck at www.ComalCountyTaxOffice.net; by scanning the statement’s QR Code with a mobile device; or by dropping a check in any of the drive-through drop boxes at the tax office’s locations in New Braunfels, Sattler, Bulverde or at the Garden Ridge Municipal Building. Payments also can be made by mail.

Customers can print a receipt of payment within 48 hours after paying online.
