Property Tax Statements Mailed

Comal County Tax Office has mailed out 2017 property tax statements, due upon receipt.
The statements detail the taxes property owners owe based on property value determined by the Comal Appraisal District, as well as rates set by various entities throughout the county, including the county itself, municipalities, emergency service districts and school districts.
The tax office collects taxes for 18 entities, providing efficiency and savings for taxpayers, who otherwise would receive multiple statements and pay for multiple offices to process their payments, says Tax Assessor-Collector Cathy Talcott.
“We have worked hard over the years to make paying property taxes as convenient as possible,” she says.
Residents can make partial payments from now through Jan. 31; any taxes left unpaid after Jan. 31 are subject to penalties and interest.
Payment options are:
· Online via debit or credit card or e-check, www.comalcountytaxoffice.net
· Mail to P.O. Box 659480, San Antonio, TX 78265-9480
· In person or via drop boxes at the following Tax Office locations: 205 N. Seguin Ave. New Braunfels; 160 Oak Dr. Sattler; 30470 Cougar Bend Bulverde; or via drop box at Garden Ridge City Hall, 9400 Municipal Parkway.
