Public Invited to LWV-CA Meeting

League of Women Voters-Comal Area is kicking off its celebration of the centennial of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution by inviting members, friends, supporters and anyone interested in exploring how they can make a difference in the electoral process to a fall membership meeting tomorrow.

League of Women Voters of the Comal Area (LWV-CA) invites the public to learn how they can make a difference in upcoming elections by exploring opportunities for service within their organization.

A fall membership meeting is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at Das Rec, 345 Landa St., New Braunfels.

Membership Director Jenny Ayala said she looks forward to helping members, friends and supporters identify areas to share their talents and interests.

“This is an exciting year with many new members and initiatives to implement,” she said.

Activities planned for 2019-20 include:

  • Voter-registration events
  • High-school voter registration
  • Distribution of Voter Guides
  • Candidate forums and public-issue forums
  • Redistricting
  • Election security and voting rights
