Register by Feb. 3 to Vote in March 3 Primary

Residents planning to vote in the March 3 primary election must register by Monday, Feb. 3.
Comal County Elections Center, 396 N. Seguin Ave., New Braunfels, will remain open until 7 p.m. to accept in-person registrations.
Voters also can print and mail an application from the Texas Secretary of State website, www.votetexas.gov. Applications must be postmarked by Feb. 3.
Comal County has nearly 106,000 registered voters, a five-percent increase over the number of residents who registered to vote during the November 2018 elections. It’s a 14 percent increase, to date, from the 92,389 people who registered for the 2016 presidential election.
The March 3 primary in Comal County contains contested primaries on both the Republican and Democratic sides for president, U.S. Senate, U.S. House Dist. 35, Texas railroad commissioner, Texas Court of Criminal Appeals Place 3 and State Board of Education Dist. 5.
Contested races for Republican seats include Comal County tax assessor-collector, Precinct 1 county commissioner, and three county constables.
On the Democratic side, multiple candidates are seeking nominations for U.S. House Dist. 21, Place 4 on the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, and four seats on the Texas Supreme Court.
Early voting for the election begins Feb. 18 and ends Feb. 28.
