Comal County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is accepting applications for this summer’s Junior Deputy Academy, June 19-23 at Canyon Middle School, 2014 FM 1101, New Braunfels.
The program is free for Comal County kids ages 9-11.
CCSO deputies will meet with students from 8 a.m. to noon daily to talk about their work.
Camp includes a tour of the Sheriff’s Office.
“The Junior Deputy Sheriff’s Academy has been implemented by the officers and staff at CCSO in an effort to positively impact the lives of our young people as they transition to adulthood,” CCSO said on its website. “We recognize our youth are the future leaders of tomorrow and we in law enforcement have an opportunity to influence behaviors that can assist with that success.”
