River Recreation Status

The Comal River, and other local recreational attractions, is currently open for water recreation. With the National Weather Service predicting the possibility of additional rain over the next several days, the City encourages visitors and residents to remain “weather aware” and monitor local media outlets for current conditions and forecasts. With heavy rainfalls the clarity of the Comal River can diminish, but river-goers should always be cautious about debris under the surface, as this is a natural waterway.
All forms of water recreation are available on the Guadalupe River today; however, beginning Tuesday, May 31st, recreation on the Guadalupe River inside the city limits will be temporarily limited to guided raft trips only.
