Comal County reported 70 new COVID-19 cases today but said the state’s data system was down for a short period of time this week.
Figures reported today are an accumulation of cases, the county explained in a statement.
Some 20,295 cases of the virus have been reported in the county since March 2020. The total number of deceased remains 468.
On Thursday, county hospitals reported caring for eight COVID-19 patients. Two are in intensive care and three are on ventilators. One hundred percent of these patients are unvaccinated.
