Sign Up for KCLB’s Fall Community Cleanup on Saturday

Share
This year's annual cleanup will look a bit different due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Vounteers are needed for Saturday’s Fall Community Cleanup, which starts at 8 a.m. in the CRRC pavilion parking lot, 125 Mabel Jones Dr.

Keep Canyon Lake Beautiful (KCLB), a community group, said it’s looking for volunteers to clean up popular roadways, boat ramps, lake shoreline, waterways and trails.

Trash remains a big problem for the area, even after the summer tourism season ends.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, volunteers will work in groups of 10 or less. Volunteers who do not live in the same household will need to stay “two grabbers”-length or six feet apart. Face masks are strongly encouraged.

Volunteers who live in the same household do not have to social-distance or wear masks.

KLCB will provide:

  • trash grabbers
  • gloves
  • trash bags
  • hand sanitizer
  • face masks
  • safety vests (for roadside pickup)
  • bottled water
