Rangers at Guadalupe River State Park in Spring Branch today marked International Day of Persons with Disabilities by introducing a new all-terrain wheelchair designed to help visitors of all abilities explore the park’s beautiful trails and scenery.

Texas Parks & Wildlife Department (TPWD), which operates the park, is upgrading facilities by adding specialized equipment, making inclusive programs, and working with the disability community to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to give people better access to nature.

“Let’s make the outdoors a place where everyone can adventure,” a ranger posted on Facebook.

To reserve the GRIT chair, call 830-438-2656 or stop by park headquarters for more information.

Guadalupe River State Park is located at 3350 Park Road 31, Spring Branch.
