Spring Branch Man Charged with Aggravated Assault in Shooting of CCSO Deputy

Fifty-nine-year-old Brian Scott Sharp of Spring Branch is in Comal County jail today, charged with shooting Comal County Sheriff's Office Deputy Eddy Luna on Thursday.
A Spring Branch man who shot and critically wounded a Comal County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) deputy on Thursday is in police custody today, facing two charges of aggravated assault against a public servant.
CCSO spokesperson Jennifer Smith said 59-year-old Brian Scott Sharp is being held on the original arrest warrant for evading arrest with a vehicle.
CCSO Deputy Eddy Luna was attempting to serve the felony warrant when Sharp shot him in the 1400 block of Springwood in Spring Branch.
Comal County Sheriff’s Office Detectives and the Texas Rangers continue to investigate, Smith said.
