A 14-year-old male juvenile faces a charge of arson after the New Braunfels Fire Marshal’s Office viewed surveillance footage that showed him allegedly igniting a fire at the Burlington retail store, 410 Creekside Way, Dec. 5.
He confessed to the crime and is now in custody at the Guadalupe County Detention Center.
The 14-year-old female who accompanied him was interviewed and released. No charges will be filed against her.
On social media, the New Braunfels Fire Department thanked the community for its assistance and cooperation throughout the investigation.
