Texas Water Company Adds 18 More Subdivisions to Boil-Water List

Residents of an additional 18 subdivisions are now under a boil-water notice from The Texas Water Company.

Belle Oaks, Bulverde Hills, City of Bulverde, Copper Canyon, Cypress Springs on the Guadalupe, Edgebrooke, Glenwood, Hidden Trails, Hwy 281 North, Lantana Ridge, Oakland Estates, River Crossing, Riverwood Estates, Saddleridge, Singing Hills, Spring Branch Meadows, The Crossing @ Spring Creek, Ventana, and The Woods @ Spring Branch subdivisions were notified today their water may no longer be safe.

City of Bulverde and the City of Blanco water customers also are included in the boil-water notice.

The company is working with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to collect water-quality samples to determine whether the water is safe to drink after floodwaters from the Guadalupe River entered Canyon Reservoir over the weekend.

Already under a boil-water notice are Belle Oaks, Bulverde Hills, City of Bulverde, Copper Canyon, Cypress Springs on the Guadalupe, Edgebrooke, Glenwood, Hidden Trails, Hwy 281 North, Lantana Ridge, Oakland Estates, River Crossing, Riverwood Estates, Saddleridge, Singing Hills, Spring Branch Meadows, The Crossing @ Spring Creek, Ventana, and The Woods @ Spring Branch.

Guidelines

Customers should continue to boil all water for two minutes before drinking, cooking, brushing teeth and making ice.

Ice makers should be turned off. Any ice made on or after July 6 should be discarded.

Use boiled water or a sanitizing dishwasher cycle for dishwashing.

Use hand sanitizer after washing hands with soap and water. Bathing is okay but avoid swallowing any water.
