Due to low pressure, Canyon Lake’s water provider Monday issued a boil-water notice for the Canyon Lake Shores public water system.

Texas Water Company (TWC) asks customers in this service area to boil their water before consumption, which includes washing hands/face, brushing teeth, cooking and drinking water.

Water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) will rescind the notice once pressure is restored. Pressure keeps contaminants out of drinking water.

Canyon Lake Shores sources water from Canyon Lake Reservoir, the Trinity Aquifer, and purchases from the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA).
