Three Missing SVMS Girls Found in Downtown San Antonio

“They’ve been found – SAPD has the girls. That’s all I know. Thank God.”
Renee Garner, mother of missing Smithson Valley Middle School student Laila Garner, confirmed on Facebook this afternoon that her daughter and two other students who disappeared after getting into a car near campus yesterday are safe.
Comal County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) said the girls were found in downtown San Antonio “after an extensive law-enforcement search” and will be released to their parents.
“We would like to thank the San Antonio Police Department for their assistance in the search,” CCSO said in a statement.
Laila Garner is the daughter of Comal ISD Trustee Russell Garner, who represents SMD #4.
