The Canyon Lake group sponsors a weeknight Tournament Series Thursdays from 6:30 to 10 p.m. starting the first Thursday after Daylight Savings Time through the last Thursday in July. Venues alternate weekly between Lake Dunlap located in New Braunfels and Canyon Lake.
According to the Thursday Nighters website, “These events were organized not just for the purpose of fishing a tournament, but as a venue for like-minded individuals with similar interests to gather once a week to share knowledge, build friendships, but mainly to enjoy themselves as many anglers will hang around long after weigh in. Of course there is also more than $4,500 in guaranteed money at our end of the year championship as well as an Angler of the Year title to fish for.”
