Nonprofits are collecting holiday donations at locations around Canyon Lake.
Tye Preston Memorial Library
For one-stop-shopping head to Tye Preston Memorial Library, 16311 S. Access Rd. There you’ll find donation bins near gathering areas for
- The Gruene Hog Toy Run: New toys to be distributed through Green Santas and SJRC Belong.
- The CRRC of Canyon Lake/Salvation Army Sock Drive: Drop off new adult socks to distribute as a special gift.
- CRRC Food Drive: Collecting non-perishable goods to support the Food Pantry. Canned soup, fruits, vegetables, fish, chicken, toilet paper, pasta/noodles, and personal hygiene items are preferred.
- Canyon Lake Animal Shelter Society Resurrected (CLASS): Drop off pet food, supplies, bedding and toys.
Comal County Child Welfare Board
Drop off gifts for children at these locations:
- CRRC of Canyon Lake Rec Center, 125 Mabel Jones Dr.
- Climate Express, 1965 Post Road Suite 610, New Braunfels
- Electric Wizard Tattoo, 880 South Business 35 Suite 100, New Braunfels
Carver RV partnered with Brookshire Brothers & Ace Hardware for its second annual toy drive benefiting the Child Welfare Board. New, unused toys and activities for children ages 0-18 are appreciated.
Drop off gifts at:
- Brookshire Brothers, 18275 FM 306, Canyon Lake (north side)
- Ace Hardware, 1150 FM 2673, Canyon Lake (south side)
Comal County Senior Citizens Foundation
Help the foundation provide Christmas boxes for 1,700 “deployed defenders.” Any amount helps. Donate two ways:
- $45 per box via cash, check, Venmo, Paypal, Zelle, Applepay or Cashapp
- Donate pre-packaged and individually wrapped food items like cookies, nuts, life savers, suckers, candy, gum, etc.

CRRC of Canyon Lake
Pay attention! CRRC of Canyon Lake has set up orange boxes outside area stores for donations to the Food Pantry. Hard to miss.

Any Baby Can of New Braunfels 2023 Holiday Toy Drive
Supports families who are caring for children and youth facing serious health or developmental challenges. Toy drive for children ages o-17 runs through Dec. 5. Deliver toys to
- Any Baby Can, 801 W. San Antonio (inside of the McKenna Foundation)
- Tint World, 553 IH-35 BL, New Braunfels
Maximum toy value is $20. All gifts should be grand new and unwrapped. Gift cards are welcome.
