TPML Closes after Staff Member Tests Positive for COVID-19
Tye Preston Memorial Library (TPML) closed today after confirming that a staff member tested positive for COVID-19.
The library will not reopen until Oct. 29.
All staff members who worked in the building with that individual were encouraged to quarantine for two weeks.
The book drop on the drive up to the library will remain open for returns. Online services and programs are up and running. The library parking lot also is available for wi-fi use.
On Facebook, TPML said the library took every precaution against COVID-19 since reopening on Oct. 5.
All books are quarantined upon return. Common areas like computers and door knobs are disinfected throughout the dday. A professional cleaning company cleans and disinfects the building each evening.
