Trick or Treat for Candy and Coats

Share
Need something warm to wear? Trick-or-treating in Sattler this Saturday includes a stop by the Coat Rack Ministry, which provides free jackets, hoodies, coats and sweaters to anyone who needs one.

They won’t fit in plastic pumpkin containers, but coats, jackets, hoodies and sweaters provided by the Coat Rack Ministry are definitely on the treat list for Canyon Lake kids making the rounds in downtown Sattler from 5 to 8 p.m. on Halloween this Thursday.

Some 250 of 500 coats already have been cleaned and hung in anticipation of the area’s premier trick-or-treat event.

Anyone who needs warmer clothing is welcome to take whatever they need, free of charge.

All trick-or-treaters are invited to enjoy Mountain Valley Middle School’s Fall Festival from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The annual event features food and drinks, carnival games, a haunted house — the band hall is transformed into 1,000-square-feet of fright — cakewalk, glow necklaces and more. Tickets are 25 cents each. All proceeds benefit the school’s band.

In Sattler, businesses hand out candy.
